Culiat, Luzon Avenue – The community is on high alert following the disappearance of 13-year-old Elysha Jemille Gallego, who was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6. Elysha, who lives at 95 Mangga St. Purok 4 in Culiat, was reportedly wearing a white tank top and pink shorts when she went missing.

A widespread search effort is underway, and her mother, Jovy, is urging anyone with information to come forward. Concerned community members have taken to social media to express their worry and offer prayers for Elysha’s safe return.

Wilma Miguel Obenza shared on Facebook, "Ayon sa impormasyon ng co parent ko sa Masci, nakauwi na po sa bahay nila itong umaga lang. May naghatid sa kanya." (Translation: According to information from my co-parent in Masci, she has returned home this morning. Someone brought her back.)

However, many remain cautious and concerned about the situation. Ian Grafil commented, "Dapat ibalik na talaga curfew." (Translation: The curfew should really be reinstated.)

Asan na kaya mga taga-protekta ng mga tao?" (Translation: Almost every day someone goes missing. Where are the people supposed to protect us?)

Authorities have been urged to take action, with suggestions ranging from reinstating curfews to increasing checkpoints, particularly targeting vehicles with heavily tinted windows. The safety of the community remains a top priority as the search for Elysha continues.

Anyone with information about Elysha’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact her mother, Jovy, at 0995 452 9038. The community hopes for her swift and safe return.
