14-Year-Old Mya Savannah Johnson Missing Under Suspicious Circumstances in Burlington, North Carolina

Burlington, North Carolina – The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Missing Endangered Alert for 14-year-old Mya Savannah Johnson, who was last seen on Friday afternoon in Burlington. Johnson, who suffers from a cognitive impairment, was last spotted getting into a black Hyundai Veloster at approximately 4:45 p.m. near Brooklyn Street.

Mya Johnson is described as a Black female, standing 5’ 5” tall and weighing 180 pounds. She has black hair styled in an afro and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black shirt and black spandex bottoms.

The circumstances surrounding Johnson’s disappearance are considered suspicious, prompting an urgent search by local authorities. The Burlington Police Department is actively investigating and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

Several concerned individuals have taken to Facebook to express their hopes and prayers for Mya’s safe return.

Summer Capps Lynn posted, "I was hoping that when I checked this morning that it would be a report that she was found! Prayers for her and her family! And praying that she is found immediately and safe and sound."

Savara Willis shared, "Prayers she’s found untouched and safe."

Cindy Richardson echoed the sentiment, "Praying for safe return!!"

Sasha Mac emphasized the need for action, "Her parents need to get the police to traffic her cell phone activity and her social account records. This day in time there is always a paper trail especially with all this new technology. Praying she is found safe."

Jackie Gray offered a heartfelt prayer, "Father God whoever led this child away from her loved ones, may she be returned safely to her family. May those that are in her company release her safely right NOW in Jesus name amen."
