8-Year-Old Nonverbal Autistic Boy Ryan Akagbusi Missing in Richmond, Texas – Community Joins Search Effort

Richmond, Texas – Authorities are searching for 8-year-old Ryan Akagbusi, a nonverbal autistic boy, who has been missing since 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Ryan was last seen in the 19900 block of Kendall Lake Drive in Richmond, Texas, wearing a lilac t-shirt and underpants. An Amber Alert has been issued, and the community is rallying to assist in the search.

Ryan is described as having black hair and brown eyes, standing 4 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing approximately 65 pounds. His disappearance has sparked widespread concern, with local residents and social media users expressing their hopes for his safe return.

Mary Gordon shared her thoughts on Facebook, writing, "I pray for God to lead this precious child home safe and sound." Latoya Jones added her concerns, "Praying they find him asap and that he is safe!!!!" Similarly, Kandyse Williams echoed the sentiment, "Praying they find him asap and that he is safe!!!!"

Several other community members have also taken to social media to express their worries and prayers. Sherry Tonia commented on the timing of the Amber Alert, stating, "He went missing at 5 a.m. but I didn’t get an Amber Alert until 5 p.m. I am praying this baby is found safely." Joan Nelson simply added, "Praying," reflecting the widespread concern throughout the area.
