Abilene Mourns the Loss of Sarah Robinson Moore, Fundraiser Launched to Support Funeral Costs

Abilene, TX – The community of Abilene is mourning the loss of Sarah Robinson Moore, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend who passed away in the early morning hours of August 27, 2024. Her family and friends have come together in grief, sharing heartfelt tributes and memories of Sarah on social media.

Sarah’s friends expressed their sorrow and fond memories on Facebook. Ely Bermudez wrote, “Rest in peace, my love. I loved how you would tell everyone ‘this is my Bestfriend ely.’ You were always so proud to be my friend. I know you will be painting the sky for me!” Another friend, Naomi Galan, shared her disbelief, saying, “I’ve been so shocked since I have seen this. Rest in peace Sarah, you were so talented and silly. You will forever be missed.”

In light of this tragic loss, a fundraiser has been launched to help cover the costs of Sarah’s funeral. Organized by Jody Morris on behalf of Pam Robinson, the campaign aims to raise $5,000. So far, $1,250 has been raised from four donations, including generous contributions from Rick DeFoore and Jody Morris, each donating $500.

A viewing for Sarah Robinson Moore will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home on 277, with services to follow on Friday at 11 a.m. at Wylie Christian Church on Buffalo Gap and Antilley Road.

The outpouring of love and support from Sarah’s friends and the Abilene community highlights the impact she had on those around her. Her friends’ messages and the fundraiser reflect a deep sense of loss and a commitment to ensuring her memory is honored.
