Albany County Authorities Search for Missing Donnie M. Smith, Last Seen on August 20th

Albany County, Wyoming – The Albany County Sheriff’s Office has issued a missing person alert for Donnie M. Smith, who was last heard from on Tuesday, August 20th. Authorities are urging the public to assist in the search for Smith, who is believed to be driving a gold 2005 GMC Envoy with Wyoming license plate #2-45083.

Donnie M. Smith is described as having a prosthetic leg and may be suffering from dementia, which heightens concerns for his safety. The Sheriff’s Office has requested that anyone with information about his whereabouts contact their non-emergency dispatch line at 307-721-2526.

Community members have taken to social media to express their concern and offer support. Conna Forder Webber commented, "I see Laramie County Wyo license plates. Was he in the Cheyenne area when you last heard from him on Aug. 20th?" Mary Sue added, "Wyoming plates?" showing the attention being paid to the vehicle he might be driving.

Others, like Sandy McCarty, shared their hopes for a positive outcome, stating, "Hope he is found safe." Meaghan Ellis also expressed vigilance, saying, "Will keep an eye on Albany!"
