Anderson Community Mourns the Loss of Doris Burdette, Beloved VHVA Member, After a Courageous Battle with Cancer

Anderson, OH – The community of Vets Helping Vets Anderson (VHVA) is deeply saddened by the passing of Doris Burdette, a cherished member who succumbed to a long and brave battle with cancer. Doris passed away this morning at 5 a.m., leaving behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to both her family and the veteran community she served so passionately.

Doris was widely known for her warm spirit and commitment to supporting veterans and their families. Her loss has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. The VHVA community, along with her family, is grappling with this heartbreaking news, and many have taken to social media to express their sorrow and share memories of Doris.

Sheri Wolf Autrey shared on Facebook, "She was a strong and courageous servant for the Lord. She was always there for our veterans and family. You will be missed so much, Doris! Prayers for Jimmy, her family, and all who knew and loved her."

Jesse Taylor echoed these sentiments, writing, "Doris was a special lady. Always giving. I pray for Jimmy and family."
