Homestead, Pennsylvania – In a tragic incident that has left the community in shock, Antoinette Porterfield, 45, of Homestead, and John West, 54, of West Mifflin, were found dead in a double homicide on Tuesday, August 12, 2024. Emergency responders were called to the 100 block of West 15th Avenue around 4:15 p.m., where they discovered the lifeless bodies of Porterfield and West. Initial attempts to make contact with the residents were unsuccessful, leading to the deployment of a SWAT team, which ultimately found the victims inside the residence.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims, and preliminary investigations suggest that the attack was targeted, ruling out a random act of violence.
