Gaithersburg, Maryland – The Montgomery County Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Ava Smith, a 16-year-old girl who went missing on Monday, August 12, 2024. Ava was last seen around 7 a.m. near the 9800 block of Washingtonian Blvd in Gaithersburg.
Ava Smith is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes, and wearing glasses. At the time of her disappearance, she was last seen dressed in all black clothing.
The Montgomery County Department of Police, particularly the Special Victims Investigations Division, is actively investigating her disappearance. Authorities have urged anyone with information about Ava Smith’s whereabouts to contact the Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency line at (301) 279-8000, which is available 24 hours a day.
