Baldwin County Community Unites in Search for Missing 14-Year-Old Twyla Tarvin in Spanish Fort, Alabama

Baldwin County, Alabama – The Baldwin County community is urgently searching for 14-year-old Twyla Tarvin, who went missing from her residence on Buzbee Road in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Twyla was last spoken to by phone at 4:15 p.m. on August 17, 2024, and it is believed that she left her home between then and 5:00 p.m. without her cellphone. Her current whereabouts remain unknown.

Twyla was last seen wearing a pink shirt, black shorts, and a black bonnet. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for any information that could help locate her. They urge anyone with information to contact them immediately at 251-937-0202, Opt.1.

The community has quickly mobilized on social media to spread the word and express their concern. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook, requesting residents to be on the lookout for Twyla. The post has garnered attention and heartfelt comments from concerned citizens.

Rhonda Jones Porter shared the post, expressing her fears by commenting, "So many missing children, very scary," and added, "Praying she’s found soon and safe." Similarly, Laura O’Brien Mills wrote, "Praying she’s found safe," echoing the sentiments of many who are worried about Twyla’s safety.

Others, like Patti Kelso, are looking for ways to assist in the search. "What can we do as a community to help?" she asked, highlighting the community’s eagerness to support the search efforts.

As of now, there has been no Amber Alert issued for Twyla, leading some, like Danielle Marie Kennedy and Cj Le, to inquire about the criteria for such alerts. "When will there be an Amber Alert?" asked Cj Le, while others like Lacey Reed are questioning if searches are already underway and how they can participate.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to come forward. The search for Twyla Tarvin remains a top priority for the community, as everyone hopes for her safe return.
