Baltimore, MD – The community mourns the loss of Betty Grivakis Rodgers, who passed away on August 22, 2024, after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Betty, aged 65, was a beloved figure known for her warmth, humor, and deep devotion to her family.
Born on May 17, 1959, in Baltimore, MD, Betty was the daughter of the late Ernest and Eleanor Grivakis. She was also predeceased by her brother, Dean Grivakis. Betty’s life was marked by her dedication to her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.
Betty’s passing was announced on social media by Bob Tousey, who expressed his sadness, saying, "For those who have not heard, my former wife, Betty, passed away on Thursday after a 2-year battle with cancer. She will be missed."

Family and friends are invited to honor Betty’s life on September 3, 2024, at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery in Baltimore. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation or the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI).
Betty’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
