Wheaton, IL – Barbara Mane, a cherished member of the community, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at the age of 72. The news of her passing has left family, friends, and loved ones in shock and mourning.
Barbara’s granddaughter, Paige Sullivan, has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of her cremation and a small memorial service. The family is facing financial challenges as Barbara did not have life insurance.
Paige Sullivan expressed the family’s gratitude for any support, stating, “Hi Everyone, my Grandmother, Barbara Mane, suddenly passed away Monday, August 26th at the young age of 72. Unfortunately, she did not have life insurance. My family needs help financially to cover the costs for cremation and a small memorial service. Any donation you could make would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!”
As of today, the fundraiser has raised $555 out of its $1,500 goal, with seven donations made so far. Contributions have varied, including donations from community members such as Jonathon Johnson and Teresa Thomas, each contributing $100 and $50, respectively.
Barbara’s son, Steven Mane, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, writing, “On August 26, 2024, my mom, Barbara Mane, passed away. My sister and my niece have established a GoFundMe for memorial costs. Please help if you can donate. If you can’t please share.”
Many friends and loved ones have expressed their condolences and shared fond memories of Barbara on social media. Kathy Cech commented, “Love you Barb,” to which Steven responded, “She loved you too, Kathy.” Natalie Lindgren also shared her sorrow, stating, “Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry. I’m so sad. I loved everything about her.” Amanda Ignaszak added, “She will be missed, such a beautiful soul!!!”
