Baton Rouge Community Mourns the Tragic Death of Antoine Bowie Following Fatal Shooting on Interstate 110

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The Baton Rouge community is reeling after the tragic death of 22-year-old Antoine Bowie, who was fatally shot in a late-night double shooting on Interstate 110. The incident occurred just before midnight near the Government Street exit as Bowie was driving northbound on the interstate. Brennan Mire, a local resident, shared on Facebook, "Baton Rouge Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that happened last night around midnight, on north I-110 near the Government St exit. The driver of a vehicle, 22-year-old Antoine Bowie, and a passenger, were going northbound on the interstate when gunshots were fired from another vehicle, hitting the victims."

As the investigation into this tragic event continues, authorities have yet to make any arrests or identify the individuals responsible. The shooting is believed to be a targeted attack, and the vehicle involved in the shooting remains at large.

Antoine Bowie, known for his kind-hearted nature and ambition, had recently started working as a mechanic and was striving to build a stable future. His untimely death has left his family and friends in shock. "He was such a good kid," a close friend said. "He was always smiling, always trying to help people out. I can’t believe he’s gone. It’s just senseless."
