Beloved Rugby Player Bruce Hibbert Remembered in Memorial Service at North Torrens Clubrooms

North Adelaide, Australia – A heartfelt memorial service was held last Friday at the North Torrens clubrooms to honor Bruce Hibbert, a cherished former player of North Adelaide Rugby Club. Hibbert, known for his unwavering dedication to rugby and his deep ties to the community, passed away recently after battling cancer for a long time.

The service brought together many of Hibbert’s former teammates and friends, who gathered to pay their respects and celebrate his life. The outpouring of support from the rugby community highlighted the profound impact Hibbert had on those around him.

In a Facebook post, the North Torrens Dragons Rugby Union Football Club expressed gratitude to all who attended the memorial service. A special thanks was extended to Yagan Dulla Kennedy, the club’s barman, who played a significant role in making everyone feel welcome during the event.

Several attendees took to Facebook to share their thoughts and appreciation. Neil Kitchen commented, "Yagan Dulla Kennedy always representing a true club spirit!" reflecting the strong sense of community felt during the memorial. Stephen Stanway added, "Yes big thankyou Yagan," while Jeff Stevenson simply acknowledged, "Yagan Dulla Kennedy," underscoring the appreciation for Kennedy’s efforts.

Bruce Hibbert’s legacy will continue to inspire and resonate within the community, reminding all of the strength, kindness, and camaraderie that defined his life.
