Bethlehem Community Expresses Concern Over Missing Teen, Alexis L. Bleyman, Last Seen in Selkirk, New York

Bethlehem, New York – The local community is deeply concerned as 16-year-old Alexis L. Bleyman, a resident of Selkirk, has been missing since August 15, 2024. She was last seen around 3:00 p.m. in the area of Elm Estates in Selkirk. The Bethlehem Police Department is actively investigating the case and urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

The Bethlehem Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance, asking anyone who may have seen Alexis or has information that could help locate her to contact the police at 518-439-9973. Despite the ongoing investigation, no significant leads have been reported.

The community has taken to social media to express their concern and frustration over the handling of the case. On Facebook, Samantha Tryon commented, "Three days later and this is just going out now???" echoing the sentiments of others who feel the urgency of the situation. Nicole Traveler added, "Sadly if they feel the child left on their own free will, i.e., runaway, the protocol is very different. I don’t think an Amber Alert will be issued."

The Northeast Missing Persons Network has also shared information about Alexis’s disappearance, further amplifying the call for help. The case has gained attention across social media, with many urging for increased efforts in locating the missing teen.

As the search for Alexis continues, the community remains hopeful for her safe return. The police and concerned citizens alike are working together, hoping that any new information will soon bring Alexis back to her family.
