Billings, Montana – A welfare check on the 300 block of Sioux Lane has escalated into a homicide investigation after Billings Police discovered the body of a 52-year-old woman on Saturday, August 24. Officers arrived at the scene around 4:00 p.m. following concerns that the woman had not been seen for some time and possible suspicious activity surrounding her absence.
Upon arrival, officers found the deceased woman and also encountered a 45-year-old man, Shane Roberts, who was immediately detained. Roberts has since been formally charged with deliberate homicide and is currently held at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
