Boone County Community on Alert After Akecheta Undiea Mark Hudnell, Affiliated with Rosebud Sioux Tribe, Goes Missing

Boone County, Iowa – The community is on high alert after 36-year-old Akecheta Undiea Mark Hudnell, also known by his nickname Jon, was reported missing. Hudnell, who is affiliated with the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, was last seen on July 8, 2024.

Akecheta Hudnell is described as a male with black hair, brown eyes, standing 6’1" tall, and weighing 220 pounds. He has a distinctive tattoo of a feather with the word "Trey" under his bicep. At the time of his disappearance, he was last seen wearing specific clothing, although the details of the attire have not been disclosed.

He has no known vehicle, adding to the concern surrounding his disappearance. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Iowa State Department of Public Safety, is actively seeking information regarding his whereabouts.
