British-American Actress Jenny Boyd, Known for Her Role as Lizzie Saltzman in "Legacies," Found Dead in Sion, Switzerland at 33

Jenny Boyd, a British-American actress celebrated for her portrayal of Lizzie Saltzman in the CW series "Legacies," has tragically passed away at the age of 33. Boyd, who was born in Sion, Switzerland, was found deceased from a self-inflicted injury, as confirmed by her family on her Instagram page. Her death, ruled as a suicide, marks the end of a promising career in both acting and modeling.

Jenny Boyd’s early life was marked by her transatlantic heritage, with an English mother, Mary Weld-Forester, and an American father, Brad Boyd, who once served as the mayor of Sisters, Oregon. Despite her parents’ divorce in 1996, Boyd was raised in Sisters and Bend, Oregon, where she developed a passion for performing arts at a young age.

Her journey into the spotlight began with global modeling contracts under Elite New York, before she transitioned into acting, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Boyd’s career in acting was further honed through classes in Los Angeles, where she connected with actress Candice King from "Vampire Diaries."

Boyd’s acting debut came with the television film "Viking Quest," and she later appeared in the horror film "Hex" in 2018. However, it was her role as Lizzie Saltzman, a teenage witch in "Legacies," that cemented her place in the hearts of fans. The show, a spin-off of "The Originals," itself a part of "The Vampire Diaries" universe, ran from 2018 to 2022.

The news of Jenny Boyd’s death has left her fans and the entertainment industry in shock, as they mourn the loss of a talented actress whose career was tragically cut short.
