Brittany Etta Deal and Her Three Children Located Safely After Amber Alert, Suspect in Custody in St. George, Utah

St. George, Utah – In a concerning incident that began with an Amber Alert, Brittany Etta Deal, a 27-year-old mother from St. George, Utah, and her three young children, Braylee Michelle Kelly, Quentin Michael Kelly, and Brixton King Haley, were reported missing and endangered on Monday, August 19, 2024. The children were last seen at 5:15 PM when they were picked up from daycare by 36-year-old David Gene Remley, despite an active protective order against him due to a recent family altercation.

The situation escalated rapidly as law enforcement agencies, including the St. George Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), and various other agencies, coordinated efforts to locate Brittany and her children. They were found safe and unharmed on August 20, 2024, at 2:05 PM by the Nevada Highway Patrol near Winnemucca, Nevada. David Remley, who was with them, was taken into police custody.

The initial alert raised significant concerns due to the protective order and the uncertainty surrounding Brittany’s presence in the vehicle when the children were picked up. The vehicle, a white GMC Terrain registered to Brittany Deal, became the focus of a multi-state search effort.

The community and social media platforms were filled with concern and relief as the news of their safe recovery spread. Several individuals shared their thoughts on Facebook:

The swift resolution of this case underscores the importance of community vigilance and the coordinated efforts of law enforcement. As the investigation continues, the St. George Police Department is working with Nevada authorities to determine the full circumstances surrounding this incident. The relief felt by many is palpable, as reflected in the widespread gratitude expressed across social media.
