According to the Oregon State Police, Brookelynn was driving in the wrong direction on I-84 East when the tragic accident occurred near milepost 37. After initially colliding with a BMW, she attempted a U-turn but was struck by a semi-truck, which pushed her vehicle into another semi-truck parked on the shoulder. Despite efforts to save her, Brookelynn succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Her mother, Heidi Fetters, a former Records Supervisor at the Gresham Police Department, confirmed the devastating loss through a social media post. The family is still grappling with the pain of losing Brookelynn’s brother, Cam, just two months ago, making this tragedy even more unbearable.
