Cameron Rodriguez, 44, Tragically Struck and Killed by Car in Bloomfield, Georgia – Investigation Underway

Bloomfield, Georgia – The Bloomfield community is mourning the sudden loss of Cameron Rodriguez, 44, who was tragically struck and killed by a car late Friday night. The fatal accident occurred near the intersection of Rocky Creek Road and Thrasher Circle at around 11 p.m., according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Rodriguez was hit by a Honda Accord while walking near the intersection. Despite the driver’s efforts to avoid the collision, Rodriguez was struck. The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, was not injured and remained at the scene, fully cooperating with authorities.

Emergency responders quickly transported Rodriguez to Atrium Health Navicent, a local hospital, but she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the circumstances that led to the incident, and no charges have been filed against the driver at this time.

Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley notified Rodriguez’s next of kin of her tragic death. Authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, as community input could be crucial in understanding what led to this heartbreaking event.
