She was well-loved in her community and deeply admired for her dedication to health and wellness. Her passing has left a significant impact on those who knew her.

Candace’s journey in the health and wellness industry began at the age of 19, when she started working at a locally-owned gym in Anniston, Alabama. Her mentor, Tom Buzan, the owner of Anniston Family Fitness Center, played a crucial role in shaping her career. He guided her in mindset, health, wellness, and interpersonal skills, teachings that Candace carried with her throughout her life.

In her professional life, Candace was more than just a fitness instructor; she was a beacon of inspiration. She founded her own business, Fit’s Possible, LLC, which focused on mindset coaching, public speaking, fitness instruction, volunteering, and community outreach. Candace was driven by the belief that empowering others to believe in themselves was one of the most powerful things a person could do. This belief fueled her work and made her a beloved figure in her community.

Candace’s passing was announced on social media, where many expressed their grief and shared memories of her. Darren Knight wrote, “Candace Harmony Rivers, you are one of my closest. I love you, baby girl, so much, and I’m happy you aren’t in pain anymore. I know you’ll see this. Remember our agreement… put in a good word for me. See you on the other side.”

Rebecca McWilliams also shared her condolences, saying, "Oh no, such a great inspiration to all, loved her, prayers for her children, family, and friends."

Patsy Watts added, "No doubt she is singing and dancing with the angels. God surely said, ‘My good and faithful servant, welcome home!’ Such a loss for us, but what a wondrous gift to heaven. Prayers for her family!"

Candace was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 High-Grade Carcinoma cancer and blood clots in her leg on June 19, 2024. Despite her illness, she remained resilient and continued to inspire those around her.

Her obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced by her family in the coming days.
