Pittsfield Township, Ohio – Charles Ford, a 54-year-old resident of Wakeman, Ohio, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Monday, August 12, 2024. The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Route 20 and State Route 58 around 6 p.m., as reported by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Ford was traveling westbound on U.S. Route 20 when his motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck. The truck, driven by a 64-year-old man from Wellington, was attempting to turn onto State Route 58 when the collision occurred. Despite wearing a helmet, Ford was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
The driver of the pick-up truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Oberlin Mercy Hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be stable, and he is expected to recover.
