Cherished Soul Tia Danae Thomas-Magana Passes Away in Joplin, Missouri, Leaving a Legacy of Love and Kindness

Joplin, Missouri – Tia Danae Thomas-Magana, a beloved member of the Joplin community, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Tia, known for her vibrant spirit and deep love for the outdoors, touched the hearts of many throughout her 27 years of life.

Born on July 22, 1997, in Anaheim, California, Tia was raised in Riverside, California, where she graduated from King High School in 2015. Her early years were marked by joyous family gatherings and the formation of lifelong friendships. After moving to Wyandotte, Oklahoma, in 2022, Tia quickly became a cherished part of her new community. She worked as a server at Indigo Sky Casino, where her kindness and exceptional service endeared her to both colleagues and patrons alike.

Tia’s passion for life was evident in her many interests, especially her love for nature. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending festivals, and her enthusiasm for the outdoors was infectious. She also had a special bond with animals, treasuring every moment spent with her pets.

Tia is survived by her mother, Angela Records, and her father, Octavio Magana, as well as her siblings and extended family. Her passing has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

A visitation was held in her honor on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri. A second service is planned for Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Riverside, California, where her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life.

In support of the Magaña family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe fundraiser has been organized by Steve Carapia. The fundraiser, which has raised $1,250 of its $25,000 goal, aims to help with funeral expenses and other associated costs. Donations have been pouring in from those who knew and loved Tia, including contributions from individuals like Billy Guillen, Abraham Rodriguez, Priscilla Vela, Johanna Foxo, and Brandon Sandoval.

The outpouring of love and support from the community is a testament to the impact Tia had on those around her. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, warm heart, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone she encountered.
