Chicago Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Person Hasim Jamal, Last Seen in January 2024

Chicago, IL – The Chicago Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Hasim Jamal, a 47-year-old resident of Chicago who has been missing since January 4, 2024. Hasim last communicated with his family on that date, and there has been no contact since, raising significant concerns about his well-being.

Hasim Jamal is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a medium complexion. He was last known to be in the vicinity of North Avenue – Cermak Road and California Avenue to Harlem Avenue in Chicago. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and the family is desperate for any information that could lead to his safe return.

Community members have taken to social media, urging others to spread the word and assist in the search. Facebook user Aidbipoc shared, “Hasim Jamal, Age 47, Chicago, IL. Last communicated with his family on January 4, 2024. He may be in the area of North Avenue – Cermak Road and California Avenue to Harlem Avenue. If you have any information, please contact Area Five SVU Detectives or call 911 immediately.”
