Christopher "Christy" Flood, Beloved Coolock Resident and Engineer, Passes Away at 68

Coolock, Dublin – The community of Coolock is mourning the loss of Christopher "Christy" Flood, who passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, at the age of 68. Christy, a cherished member of the Coolock community and a respected figure in the Engineer Corps, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Christy spent his final moments surrounded by his loving family and under the compassionate care of the staff at Hamilton Park Nursing Home. His passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of his family, including his children David and Chris, as well as his mother, Sadie, and other close relatives and friends. Christy was a beloved father, brother, and friend, whose legacy of love and family will be remembered with great fondness.

The news of Christy’s passing has resonated deeply within the community, with many taking to social media to express their condolences. Paddy Gilford shared, "It is with great sadness we inform you all of the Passing of Christopher Flood (Engineer Corp). Our sincerest condolences to Christopher’s family and friends. Christy may you have eternal peace."
