Cindy Sandidge of Brookhaven Passes Away After Battling Cervical Cancer, Fundraiser Launched to Support Funeral Costs

Brookhaven, MS – Cindy Sandidge, a beloved member of the Brookhaven community, passed away on August 26, 2024, after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. Cindy had been fighting the illness for over a year, and her passing has left her family, friends, and community deeply saddened.

Cindy’s daughter-in-law, Danyell Adams, has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help cover the costs of Cindy’s funeral expenses. The fundraiser, which was created today, has so far raised $125 of its $10,000 goal, with contributions from four donors, including Cody Harrell, Madi Thorkildson, and Stephen Lusk.

Many of Cindy’s friends and loved ones have expressed their condolences and shared memories on Facebook, highlighting the impact she had on their lives. Deanna Byrd wrote, "So saddened to lose one of my childhood friends. More like sisters back when we were young. Her pain and suffering are now over. No pain and much peace. You will be missed, Cindy Sandidge!"

Danyell Adams also shared her gratitude for any support, saying, "Anything would be greatly appreciated. Even if it’s just a share." The fundraiser seeks to provide Cindy’s family with much-needed assistance during this difficult time.

Other tributes include heartfelt messages from Dawn Barfield, who said, "I am so sorry to read this! Cindy was a childhood friend," and Claudette Lancaster Fergus, who added, "Oh no, so sorry to hear this news. She was always so sweet. Praying for her family."
