Cole Gustafson, a Michigan resident, tragically passed away after falling from a moving construction vehicle on August 8, 2024. The incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. in Sagola Township, near Carbis Road on Mississippi State Highway 95. The area was part of an active construction zone.
Michigan State Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post responded to the scene following reports of a personal injury accident involving a single vehicle. Initial investigations revealed that Gustafson fell from the moving vehicle while it was operating within the construction site.
Emergency services, including a STAR ambulance, were dispatched to the scene. Gustafson was transported to Dickinson Hospital at the Marshfield Medical Center for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries.
