Community and Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing 17-Year-Old Abbie Glynn from Ballybrittas, Co. Laois

Abbie Glynn, a 17-year-old resident of Ballybrittas, Co. Laois, has been missing since Thursday, August 15, 2024, sparking concern and prompting a widespread search. She was last seen at 1 p.m. at Heuston Station in Dublin 8. Authorities and the local community are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Abbie is described as being approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue shorts, a blue shirt, a black jacket, and white runners.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for public assistance in locating Abbie, asking anyone with relevant information to contact Portlaoise Garda Station at 057 867 4100, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Joe Oakley, a concerned community member, shared his thoughts on Facebook, stating, "I hope she is found okay, too many going missing for what reasons I wonder." His sentiment reflects the anxiety and concern felt by many in the community.
