Community and Police in Grants Pass, Oregon, Rally to Find Michael Schaeffer, Missing Since August 23

Grants Pass, Oregon – The Grants Pass Police Department and local community members are urgently searching for Michael Schaeffer, who has been missing since Friday, August 23, 2024. Michael, who is 5’7" and weighs 185 pounds, was last seen around 4:30 PM in the vicinity of SW Oak and SW Rogue River Avenue. He was wearing a red t-shirt, a black hat with writing on it, and jeans. Michael is known to walk with a limp, which could help in identifying him.

The police department has asked anyone with information on Michael’s whereabouts to contact them immediately at 541-450-6260.

The community has come together in support, sharing their hopes and prayers on social media. Kellie Sanford posted, "Please come back safe, Michael." Chara D. Werner expressed, "So handsome but looks so sad. Please come back safe, Michael." Trish Bayles added her heartfelt plea, "God I pray u bring him back safe."

As the search continues, the Grants Pass Police and Michael’s loved ones are hoping for his safe return. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that could assist in locating Michael.
