Community Concern Grows as 34-Year-Old Virgillia Lasaga from Stephenville Remains Missing, Last Seen on August 15

Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador – The search for 34-year-old Virgillia Lasaga, who has been missing since Thursday, August 15, has intensified as the community and authorities express deep concern for her safety. Virgillia, a resident of Stephenville, was last heard from on the 15th, and since then, there has been no contact, prompting the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Bay St. George to issue a public appeal for any information on her whereabouts.

The RCMP has urged anyone with information to contact them immediately at 709-643-2118, stressing the urgency of the situation.

Virgillia’s disappearance has sparked a wave of concern on social media, with many expressing their hopes and prayers for her safe return. Ashley Renee Connolly, who follows Virgillia on TikTok, shared, "Hope she sees this and gets home or reaches out to a friend… praying for safely return." Similarly, Dorothy Mary Mcfee posted, "Prayers for her safe return," reflecting the collective worry of the community.

Others have questioned the efforts being made to locate her. Diane M French asked, "Hope she is found safe, is there any search out for her?" highlighting the anxiety surrounding the search process.

The heartfelt comments continue to pour in, with Jessica Florence Woods expressing her deep concern, "Oh my heart broke seeing this, I hope she’s found safe… No matter what, she is a daughter, a mom, and a friend." Many, like Pauline Colbourne, emphasized the importance of finding her safe, "No matter what’s she done or her condition, she’s still some Mom and Dad’s child and needs to be found."

Virgillia’s disappearance has also brought attention to the emotional toll on her family. Krista Diamond Lane remarked, "My heart… her babies and family must be worried sick! I hope V’s ok!!"

As the search for Virgillia Lasaga continues, the community remains hopeful for her safe return, with many keeping her in their thoughts and prayers. The RCMP’s appeal for information underscores the seriousness of the situation as the community rallies together in support of finding Virgillia.
