Community Concern Grows as Anne-Marie Nakapala, 20, Goes Missing from Kuisebmond

Kuisebmond, Namibia – The community is on high alert after the disappearance of 20-year-old Anne-Marie Nakapala, who has been missing since August 10, 2024. Anne-Marie, who left her home at house number 6228 on Crane Street around 15:00 that day, intended to visit a salon but never returned. Her last known location was Independence Beach, where she was reportedly seen the following morning.

A witness described her wearing a multicolored skirt, a blue jersey, and brown leather shoes. The Namibian Police have urged anyone with information about Anne-Marie’s whereabouts to come forward immediately. They have provided contact numbers for the public to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Community members have expressed their concern and hope for Anne-Marie’s safe return on social media. Godfrey Diplomatic Rushlover commented, "I have a good feeling she’s somewhere safe. Please go back home if you can read all our wishes and prayers." Similarly, Nama Axae shared, "Maybe it’s time Nam gives Walvis back to SA. Praying for her safe return."

Other posts reflected the anxiety and fear that have gripped the community. Nankero Ndakalako GwameeOppen noted, "A family member missing in Walvis is a fearful situation ever. Hope she is found safe and sound," while Sebby Tutaleni added, "Fear that town… safe return please."

The Namibian Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Anne-Marie’s disappearance. The community remains hopeful for her safe return as they rally together during this troubling time.
