Community Concern Grows as Edward Eugene Smith Reported Missing in Evans County

Evans County, Georgia – The community is rallying in concern after Edward Eugene Smith was reported missing. Smith, born on December 9, 1967, was last seen on Thursday night leaving the Stafford Road area in Evans County. Authorities and locals are urgently seeking information regarding his whereabouts.

The Evans County Sheriff’s Office issued a Be On the Lookout (B.O.L.O.) alert on Saturday, August 17, 2024, urging anyone with information to contact them immediately at 912-739-1611. The search for Smith has become a matter of great concern among the residents of Evans County.

Social media has been flooded with messages of hope and concern. Denise Blalock shared on Facebook, "Ohhh no. I just talked to Dora at the funeral." Kim Cason added, "Praying he returns home safely!" while Rhonda Haire expressed, "I pray he is safe." Janie Marie Proman also joined in, saying, "Hope he’s found safe."

As the search continues, the community remains hopeful for the safe return of Edward Eugene Smith. Authorities continue to follow up on leads, and the public is urged to report any information that could assist in locating him.
