Community in Barwell, Earl Shilton, and Hinckley Rallies to Find Missing Tracey Moore, 54, as Concern Grows Over Her Mental State

Barwell, Earl Shilton, and Hinckley – The community is rallying together to find Tracey Moore, a 54-year-old woman last seen a week ago near Station Road, Earl Shilton. Tracey, who is vulnerable and known for self-harming, was reportedly seen using her handbag as a pillow under a bush, a sight that has raised alarm among her family and friends.

Her daughter, Lydia Moore, has taken to Facebook to spread the word and seek help in locating her mother. Lydia’s post paints a troubling picture of Tracey’s current mental state, indicating that her mother has not been seen or heard from in days, and expressing deep concern for her safety. "It’s unlikely my mum goes missing and no one has seen her around the area. The last I’ve heard, she’s not looking good, and I’m guessing now her mindset isn’t good either," Lydia wrote in her heartfelt plea.

Despite Lydia’s efforts to reach her mother, including visits to Tracey’s home where there was no response, the family remains in the dark about her whereabouts. There are also unconfirmed reports suggesting that Tracey could be on holiday in Skegness, adding to the confusion and worry.

Facebook has become a vital platform for the community to share information and express their concern. Leanne Richards commented, "I saw her walk past the Spar Tuesday afternoon with her trolley," while Megan Preece questioned, "Have the police been and done a welfare check? They can gain access if there’s concern." Other community members, such as Ann-marie Liddle and Charlotte Wickwar, have pledged to keep an eye out, with Charlotte noting, "I’m in Earl Shilton; I’ll keep an eye out as usually see her a lot."

The response from the community has been overwhelmingly supportive, with numerous people sharing Lydia’s post and offering their assistance. The police and local hospitals have been informed of Tracey’s disappearance, but as of now, there have been no significant leads.

Lydia, who admits to having had a difficult relationship with her mother, is now facing her worst nightmare, fearing that something terrible might have happened. She concluded her post with an emotional plea: "Pls mum we all care and want u home. I know things haven’t been great between us but if u need me I’m here… whatever u need pls just call me mum. Let me know ur safe."

The community continues to hope for Tracey’s safe return, with the ongoing search highlighting the importance of collective efforts in times of crisis. Anyone with information is urged to contact Lydia or the local authorities immediately.
