Decorah, Iowa – Marissa Engelhardt, a 19-year-old resident of Decorah, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Winn Med Hospital. The young woman’s untimely death has deeply affected her family, friends, and the broader Decorah community.
Marissa was known for her vibrant personality and dedication to her studies, having recently graduated from high school. She had plans to pursue higher education, a future tragically cut short. Her passing has left a significant void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Marissa’s life is scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Winneshiek County Fair Community Building. This event will offer an opportunity for her family, friends, and the community to come together, share memories, and support each other during this difficult time. The burial will take place at a later date in the St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, allowing those close to Marissa to gather for a final farewell.
