Community in Findlay Mourns the Loss of Dane Green Moran After Tragic I-75 Accident

Findlay, Ohio – A fatal vehicular accident claimed the life of 17-year-old Dane Green Moran early Wednesday morning on Interstate 75. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 1:26 a.m. near mile post 160 in the City of Findlay, Hancock County.

Dane was driving his Nissan Sentra northbound when the vehicle veered off the right side of the highway, struck a guardrail, and collided with a ditch culvert. The impact caused the car to catch fire, and despite the efforts of emergency responders, Dane was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if Dane was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Authorities have indicated that impairment is not suspected to have been a factor.

The tragic news has left Dane’s family and friends in profound grief. Many have taken to social media to express their condolences. Mandy Hilty shared, "Prayers sent to his family." Sue Boyce echoed this sentiment, adding, "My sincere condolences." Amy Bjorling Reynolds commented, "Omg his poor family. Sending up prayers for all," reflecting the community’s heartbreak.

Shine Howell and Gloria Titus Gerdeman also posted prayers for the family, while Jessica Bucher mentioned receiving an email from the high school and expressed her fears as a parent of a teen driver.
