Community in Irving, Texas, Rallies to Support Sandra Gail Azlin Lindamood’s Final Wish Through GoFundMe Campaign

Irving, Texas – The community of Irving is coming together to honor the final wish of Sandra Gail Azlin Lindamood, who passed away early on August 20th, 2024, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Sandra, known for her generous spirit and ability to connect with everyone she met, left a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Her daughter, Laura Lindamood, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise $5,500 for Sandra’s cremation and a special urn that Sandra had personally selected. Laura described her mother as the "strongest, most stubborn woman" she had ever known and expressed deep gratitude for the time they had together. Despite Sandra’s resilience and her initial recovery after a cancer diagnosis in February 2022, her health deteriorated, and she was brought home for hospice care just a few days before her passing.

The fundraiser, titled "Help Honor Sandra’s Final Wish," is gaining traction as the community steps in to support the Lindamood family during this difficult time. Friends and acquaintances have also taken to social media to express their condolences and offer their support.

Andy Currie shared, "This is my mother-in-law who passed away last night," while Debbie Blackistone Owen commented, "I’m so sorry for your loss." Leah Jones Gravely added, "I’m sorry for your loss and I’ll be praying for you guys. Much love to you both." Billy Cornforth also extended his sympathies, writing, "Sorry for your loss!"

Sandra’s wish was to be cremated, and the funds raised will cover the costs associated with her final arrangements. The GoFundMe page remains open for donations, with Laura providing updates as more details about the services become available. The community’s outpouring of support highlights the impact Sandra had on those around her and their collective desire to honor her memory.

Sandra’s story is a reminder of the importance of community and the strength found in coming together during times of loss. As the fundraiser continues, those who knew Sandra are encouraged to donate and help fulfill her final wish.
