Ship Bottom, New Jersey – The local community is rallying together to search for Judith Iepson, a woman with high-functioning special needs, who was reported missing from the 300 Block of 12th Street on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Judith was last seen around 1:00 PM that day, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and jean shorts. The Ship Bottom Police Department has been actively searching for her since she was reported missing at approximately 4:30 PM.

Judith was reportedly spotted walking on Long Beach Boulevard, heading north from Holgate, around 6:30 PM, according to a Facebook comment by Paul Sharkey. The sighting has been communicated to the police, and the search continues with growing concern from the community.

Community members have been expressing their thoughts and offering help on social media. Tracy Raub suggested starting a search party if Judith did not return home by the evening, emphasizing the urgency given that the island is only 18 miles long. Others, like Frances Duffy, have asked how they can assist in the search, showing the collective concern for Judith’s safe return.

The Ship Bottom Police have been conducting thorough searches, including questioning people along the bay beach. Melissa Carbone-Wong noted that the police had stopped her group, asking if they had seen Judith. The situation has also drawn widespread prayers and support, with many residents sharing the news and hoping for Judith’s safe return.
