Community Mourns Bobbie "Bobber" Davis in Decaturville, Tennessee, as Funeral Fundraiser Gains Support

Decaturville, Tennessee – The sudden passing of Bobbie "Bobber" Davis on Sunday, August 18, 2024, has left the community of Decaturville, Tennessee, and beyond in mourning. Bobber, a beloved figure, was known for his dedication to family, his service as a 22-year Army veteran, and his active role in the American Legion, Post 77, where he served as Ride Captain for the American Legion Riders.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been organized by Rowena Kutschman to assist with funeral expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Honor Bobbie Davis: Assist with Funeral Expenses," aims to raise $10,000. As of today, the campaign has garnered $250 from a single donation, reflecting the community’s early support in this time of need.

Bobber’s impact on those around him is evident from the heartfelt messages shared on social media. Rich Kutschman posted on Facebook, "Give Bobber and Shelly some love, y’all. A great man, gone too soon." These words echo the sentiments of many who knew Bobber as a dependable friend, a loving family man, and a spirited individual who cherished riding his Indian Challenger and sharing stories with a dry sense of humor.

Visitation for Bobbie "Bobber" Davis is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a service at 12 p.m. at 113 South West St., Decaturville, TN. The community is invited to come together to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many.

Bobber’s loss is deeply felt, but the outpouring of support for his family during this difficult time reflects the strength and unity of the community he was so much a part of.
