Community Mourns the Loss of Albert Lee Hammock, United States Air Force Veteran and Respected Aviation Mechanic in Grandy, North Carolina

Albert Lee Hammock, a beloved member of the Grandy community, passed away peacefully in Edenton, North Carolina, on August 5, 2024, at the age of 76. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Albert’s life was marked by service, dedication, and love for his family and country.

Albert was a skilled aviation mechanic whose expertise earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and those who relied on his meticulous work. His contributions to the field were significant, reflecting his deep understanding of aviation and commitment to excellence. Beyond his professional life, Albert was a proud United States Air Force veteran, carrying the values of discipline, honor, and duty with him throughout his life. Albert is survived by his wife, Thongma "Ya-Ya" Hammock, who was his source of immense joy and support.
