Winnipeg, MB — The community is in deep mourning following the tragic death of Mercedes Alisha Bradburn, a beloved resident known for her infectious smile, outgoing personality, and the joy she brought to those around her. Mercedes, affectionately called "Moon Dancer Ikwe," will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and especially her young daughter, Myla.

Mercedes was celebrated for the love she showed her family and friends, always making everyone feel welcome with her warm spirit and sense of humor. Her loss has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, a fundraiser has been organized by Alexandra Koslock on behalf of Mercedes’ mother, Rachel Bradburn, to support the family during this incredibly challenging time. The funds raised will help cover the costs of the funeral service, provide counseling, and support other necessary expenses in the upcoming months. Additionally, Mercedes’ mother hopes to establish a fund to ensure a bright future for her granddaughter Myla, supporting her educational and life endeavors.

As of today, the fundraiser has raised $570 out of its $25,000 goal, with contributions from generous individuals, including Larissa Ashdown, Robert Loiselle, Elizabeth Carlyle, Sean Goertzen, and Sam Bird.

The community is urged to donate generously to assist Mercedes’ family during this difficult period. Those wishing to offer additional support are encouraged to reach out directly to Alexandra Koslock.
