Community Mourns the Unexpected Loss of Kolby Edwards in Elberta, Alabama, as Funeral Arrangements Are Announced

Elberta, Alabama – The community is grieving the unexpected passing of Kolby Edwards, who tragically left us on August 19, 2024. Kolby was a beloved father, son, and friend, whose kindness and spirit touched the lives of many. In this difficult time, the community is coming together to support his family and honor his memory.

Funeral arrangements have been set for Friday, August 30, at Wolfe Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, with a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. All family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

A GoFundMe campaign, organized by Hayley Trammell on behalf of Megan Buchanan, has been launched to support Kolby’s family during this challenging period. The fundraiser aims to alleviate the unexpected financial burdens they now face, including funeral costs and other expenses. As of now, $370 has been raised towards a goal of $4,000, with contributions from generous donors like Charles Kaechele, Kenneth Larson, and Helen Jinks.

On social media, friends and loved ones have expressed their sorrow and condolences. Megan Schaff Buchanan shared the funeral details, inviting the community to come together. Sam Byrd commented, “Man, I’m sorry, praying for y’all!” while Julie Crossland Doege added, “Our condolences for y’all’s loss. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.” Robbie Boilard also shared, “I’m sorry for the loss and prayers for y’all,” echoing the sentiment of many others.
