Community of Boyle Heights Urgently Seeks Information on Missing Person Jeremy Avila Last Seen in East Los Angeles

Jeremy Avila, a 22-year-old resident of Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles, has been reported missing. He was last seen in the early hours of Friday, August 9, 2024, on neighbors’ security cameras leaving Herbert Avenue on foot toward Olympic Boulevard around 1:00 AM. The community is now rallying to find him, sharing posts and information on social media in hopes of locating him.

Jeremy, described as a Hispanic/Latino male with brown eyes and brown hair, stands at 5’9" and weighs between 140-150 pounds. He has distinctive tattoos, including "Love Yours" on his left forearm and "17" behind his right ear. At the time of his disappearance, Jeremy was last seen near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Bonnie Beach.

The urgency of the situation has prompted widespread concern among the community. Many have taken to Facebook to share their thoughts and prayers. The post describing his disappearance has been circulated widely, with many urging anyone with information to come forward. One commenter wrote, “Please, if anyone knows anything, reach out. Jeremy is a good person, and we need to bring him home.”
