The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office confirmed Fulmore’s passing after the accident occurred at around 3:46 a.m. on August 18, 2024, on Cane Bay Boulevard near Coves Drive.

According to reports, Fulmore was driving a 2010 Dodge Journey when the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree. The impact was severe, partially ejecting Fulmore from the vehicle and causing significant damage to the car. Despite the swift response from Berkeley County EMS, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, and the Central Berkeley Fire Department, Fulmore succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office have launched a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. As they work to determine the contributing factors, the Summerville community has expressed deep sorrow and rallied to support Fulmore’s family during this heartbreaking time.

On social media, friends and community members shared their grief and sent prayers to Fulmore’s family. Terri Scott posted, "To all my prayer warriors, please send up an extra prayer for the family of Jaeshawn Fulmore. He was in a fatal car wreck last night, and he was only 24. My daughter worked with him. He was a sweet young man. My prayers go out to his family—no parent should ever have to bury their child. Rest easy and fly high, young man." Others, like Dolly Shepherd, added, "God Bless All The Family," while Naomi Brown echoed the sentiment, saying, "Prayers going up."

As the community mourns the loss of such a promising young life, authorities continue to investigate the incident, with further updates expected from the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office in the coming days.
