Community on High Alert as 15-Year-Old Cierra Sprague Goes Missing from Pyramid Lake, Nevada

Pyramid Lake, Nevada – The community is on edge as 15-year-old Cierra Sprague has been reported missing since Friday, August 16, 2024. Cierra, who is from the Sparks and Pyramid Lake area, is believed to have run away with her boyfriend, Marvin Worthen, late Friday night around 11:00 p.m. The pair’s current whereabouts are unknown, and they may be traveling in an unidentified vehicle, possibly heading towards Tennessee, Alabama, California, or Washington.

Cierra is described as 5’6" tall, weighing 140 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Pyramid Lake Police Department at 775-574-0444 or Washoe County Dispatch at 775-785-9276, referencing case PL24-0257 or Sparks Police case SP24-6473.

The case has garnered significant attention on social media, with friends and community members sharing their concern. Jaimee Benjamin posted, "MISSING RUNAWAY JUVENILES MARVIN WORTHEN AND CIERRA SPRAGUE. IF SEEN PLEASE CONTACT PYRAMID LAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT… Please share so we can get her home." Other friends like Gail Ilvonen and Trudy Slingo-Manuel have expressed their prayers and hopes for Cierra’s safe return.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue is actively involved in the search, and the case has been listed on the Missing People in America database, which is updated daily. The community continues to rally support online, hoping for any leads that could help bring Cierra back home safely.
