St. Francisville, Louisiana – The community is rallying together in hopes of finding 81-year-old William “Butch” Kerr, who has been reported missing from his home on Pine Street in St. Francisville. The Louisiana State Police issued a Silver Alert on Sunday, August 11, 2024, after Kerr was discovered missing at approximately 2:00 PM. He was last seen on Friday, August 9, 2024.
William Kerr, a white male with gray hair and blue eyes, stands 6 feet tall and weighs around 195 pounds. He is believed to be driving a 2019 Gray Chevrolet Equinox with a Louisiana license plate 716FSI, which has “Butch” displayed on the front plate. Authorities fear that a medical condition may be impairing his judgment, adding urgency to the search efforts.
The search has garnered widespread attention and support on social media, where community members have shared their thoughts and prayers for Kerr’s safe return. Debbie Leaphart Lindner posted, "Praying Mr. Kerr is found soon & safe," echoing the sentiments of many concerned residents. Similarly, Shannon Blacklock expressed, "I pray Mr. Kerr is found safe and soon. Lord Jesus, I pray a hedge of protection around Mr. Kerr so deep so far so wide and so long. Our seniors need attention just like toddlers."
