Community Rallies Around Family of Derick Jampier Cotto Machito in Carolina Amid Tragic Loss

Carolina, Puerto Rico – The community of Carolina is coming together to support the family of Derick Jampier Cotto Machito, who has tragically passed away. A fundraiser has been organized to help cover the funeral expenses, and as of today, $1,450 has been raised towards the $6,000 goal.

Derick, affectionately known as "Machito," was a beloved member of the community. His passing has deeply affected those who knew him, and many have expressed their condolences and support on social media.

Addiel Ayala, the organizer of the fundraiser, shared the news on Facebook, asking for help during this difficult time. "Estamos pasando un momento muy difícil con la pérdida de nuestro Derick Jampier Cotto (Machito)," wrote Ayala, highlighting the profound loss felt by all who knew him.

The fundraiser has seen contributions from 19 donors so far, with notable donations including $250 from Gerald and Christy Brooks and $200 from Oneill Rodriguez. The support continues to grow as friends, family, and community members share the fundraiser to help the family reach their goal.

On Facebook, Addiel Ayala posted, "Any help will be appreciated, everything will go to give my brother his final goodbyes," urging others to contribute and share the cause.

Victor Diaz, who recently donated $50, is among those offering their support during this challenging time.

The family has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support and asks for continued prayers as they navigate this difficult period. The community remains hopeful that the remaining funds will be raised to give Derick the farewell he deserves.
