Community Rallies to Find Jose Tobar, Missing Elderly Man in Irving, Texas

Irving, Texas – The Irving community is deeply concerned as the search continues for 73-year-old Jose Eliziar Tobar, who has been missing since early Monday morning. Tobar was last seen around 6:30 a.m. near Collins Drive and Fourth Street in Irving, Texas, according to a missing person alert issued by the Irving Police Department.

Tobar, who has been diagnosed with diabetes and other health issues, was last seen wearing a yellow and green t-shirt, light blue pants, and brown boots. He stands 6’04” tall and weighs approximately 144 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. The urgency to find him is heightened by his medical conditions, which require regular attention.

The Irving Police Department has asked anyone with information about Tobar’s whereabouts to contact them immediately at (972) 273-1010 or to dial 911.

The local community has shown an outpouring of support, with numerous individuals sharing their thoughts and prayers on social media. Roberto Perez, a local resident, expressed his regret, saying, "I wish I had seen this yesterday… I live blocks from there and would have looked for him. Ain’t no telling where he is now."

Sandra Tingle Talamantez joined the chorus of prayers, posting, "Praying he is returned safely in Jesus’ name, amen." Vernetta Williams also offered her support, writing, "Dear Lord! Will keep my eyes open for him! Jesus help him please!"

The concern for Tobar’s well-being extends beyond the local community. Bernie Jenkin from the UK commented, "Hope he is found safe and well. Prayers from the UK," reflecting the widespread empathy for Tobar’s situation.
