Community Rallies to Find Missing Fayetteville Teen, Lydell Christopher Utley, Missing Since July 30

Fayetteville, NC – The search continues for 15-year-old Lydell Christopher Utley, who has been missing from Fayetteville since July 30, 2024. The Fayetteville Police Department has classified Lydell as a runaway juvenile, but the community is deeply concerned for his safety.

Lydell, who may also go by the name "Chris," was last seen nearly three weeks ago, and despite efforts by law enforcement and community members, his whereabouts remain unknown. The Fayetteville Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward. Investigative Assistant S. Roldan is leading the case and can be reached at (910) 354-7621. Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted through the Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crime Stoppers.

The case has gained significant attention on social media, with many expressing their concern and hope for Lydell’s safe return. Tammy Larue shared on Facebook, "God I hope he is found safe soon. I will pray for him and his family." Another user, Doris Monroe, confirmed Lydell’s identity in response to a query, saying, "Yes, it’s correct. He’s my nephew."

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has also been involved, urging the public to stay vigilant and report any potential sightings. The case has resonated with many, as the community continues to pray for Lydell’s safe return.

As the search enters its third week, the collective hope of Fayetteville remains that Lydell will be found soon, safe and unharmed.
