Albany, GA – The community is urgently rallying to find Fannie Mills, a woman in her early 60s who has gone missing from the Pruitt Health facility on Palmyra Road. Ms. Mills, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia, was last seen on Thursday, August 8, 2024, wearing a white beanie, purple shirt, and purple, gray, and white pants.
Her family and friends are deeply concerned for her safety, as her condition makes her particularly vulnerable. According to a Facebook post by her niece, Lanina Howard Rogers, “My aunt FANNIE MILLS is MISSING! She was in PRUITT HEALTH on Palmyra in Albany and walked out and hasn’t been seen since. She struggles with Alzheimer’s and Dementia!! She could be anywhere in ALBANY at this point!” The post also urges the public to share any information and to contact the authorities immediately if she is spotted.
The Albany Police Department has also issued an alert, requesting the public’s assistance in locating Ms. Mills. They described her as being 5’4” tall and weighing around 160 pounds. They ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts contact them at 229-431-2100.
Community members have taken to social media to spread the word and offer their prayers. Judith L. Hatch commented, “We will spread the word. Pray for her safe return.” Another local resident, Edna Hunter, also expressed her concern, sharing, “Prayers for her safety.”
