Community Urges Action in Search for Missing Transgender Woman Kiara "Ki Ki" Britt in Memphis

St. Louis, MO – The community is rallying together in a desperate search for Kiara "Ki Ki" Britt, a beloved Black transgender woman who has been missing since August 7th. Kiara was last seen leaving The Westin Hotel in Memphis, TN, and concerns for her safety are growing as the days pass without any sign of her.

Kiara Britt, a resident of St. Louis, Missouri, is an active member of the local community and a well-known figure within the Trans Women of Color Collective. Her disappearance has sparked urgent calls for help, particularly given the unique dangers that Black transgender women face.

The Trans Women of Color Collective has issued a missing person alert, urging everyone to assist in the search for Kiara. "We urgently need your help to find Kiara ‘Ki Ki’ Britt," the organization posted on Facebook, highlighting the gravity of the situation. They emphasized the importance of community solidarity in bringing Kiara back to her loved ones.

The post further appeals to the public to share any information about Kiara’s whereabouts and to spread the word to help locate her. The collective is calling on anyone who may have seen Kiara or has knowledge of her location to contact the authorities immediately.

In addition to the collective’s post, numerous individuals on Facebook have expressed their concerns and shared their prayers for Kiara’s safe return. The hashtag #FindKiara and #BlackTransLivesMatter have been widely used to amplify the search effort, bringing more attention to the case.
